Taiki Nakamura was born in 1989 in Osaka, Japan. He started his piano studies when he was five years old. And he has studied under Makoto Ueno, Ikuyo Kamiya, Satoru Sunahara, Klaus Schilde, and Henri Sigfridsson.

From 2004 to 2007 Taiki studied as a high school student majoring in piano in Osaka Prefectural Yu-higaoka high school

In 2005, 2006 Taiki won the Excellent Prize in the TAKATSUKI  Music Competition in Osaka.

In 2006 he won 1st prize in the 6th SAKAI International Piano Competition in Osaka. That same year he played in the YAMAHA Young Pianist Concert and he was also selected to play in the 10th Periodical Concert sponsored by his high school in Osaka

In 2006, 2007,he has entered to the National Convention of the Japan Classical Music Competition in Tokyo.

From 2008 to 2012 Taiki studied his Bachelor in Kyoto City University of Arts.

In 2009, 2010 he was selected to play in the 23th Piano Festival and in the 134th Periodical Concert sponsored by his University in Kyoto. That year, in 2010 he participated in the Murrhardt International Piano Academy (Germany) studying with Karl=Heinz Kaemmerling, Felix Gottlieb and Stanislav Pochekin.

In 2011 he was selected to play the recital in Kyoto City University of Arts sponsored by his University in Kyoto. And the same year he also played in the Asahido Music Company sponsored by Kyoto Newspaper and the 98th Osaka Artist Association’s Concert in Osaka. A scholarship of the MEIJI YASUDA cultural foundation in Tokyo was awarded to him from the University for two years since 2010.

In 2012 he was invited by Makoto Ueno to play in the 49th NANIWA  Art Festival in Osaka. There he won 1st prize ,the Osaka Governor Award, and the Osaka Mayor Award The same year he won 3rd Prize in the 9th SAKAI International  Piano Competition (in the General Section) in Osaka. Also he was awarded the Association’s Award for Kansai-Osaka in 21th century in the 27th SETTSU Musik Festival in Osaka and the Award for a New Artist in the 26th Kyoto Art Festival in Kyoto.

From 2013 to 2015 he studied his Master in Folkwang Universität der Künste, Essen,(Germany) with Henri Sigfridsson

In 2013 he was selected to play the Martin Schmidt Memorial Concert with a Slovakia Chamber Orchestra (Cappella Istropolitana), conducted by Schmidt Gertenbach, in Hannover(Germany).In the concert, he played Mozart’s Piano Concert KV413 and it was reported in some local newspapers.In 2014 he participated in the International Piano Academy Lichtenberg (Germany) studying with Arnulf von Arnim and the International Meisterkurs Bückeburg studying with Bernd Goetzke. The same year, he won 1st prize and Lya De Barberiis Award in the 9th Mozart International Piano Competition in Italy. In this year and next year, he was invited to play the recital for the winner of the competition.
